Skype für BlackBerry
12 05 2009Skype ist, wie viele wissen, super für VoIP und zum Chatten, aber auch eine sehr gute Alternative zum herkömmlichen Telefon.
Da es schon für das IPhone eine sehr gut laufende Version von Skype gibt, kündigte Skype eine offizielle Version für BlackBerry Geräte an.
Erscheinen sollte das ganze eigentlich Anfang Mai, das heißt, dass wir nicht mehr all zu lange warten müssen.

LAS VEGAS, March 31, 2009 - Skype today announced that the lite version of Skype™, a ‘thin’ Skype client for mobile phones, will soon be available as a free download for BlackBerry® smartphones. A beta version will be available in May for the BlackBerry® Bold™ and BlackBerry® Curve™ smartphones, with support for other BlackBerry smartphones coming later.
The lite version of Skype delivers core Skype capabilities to BlackBerry smartphones, including:
- Make Skype-to-Skype calls to other Skype users anywhere in the world
- Send/receive instant messages to/from individuals or groups
- Make Skype calls at low rates to people on landline or mobile phones
- Receive calls to your online number on Skype
- See when your Skype contacts are online/available to chat
Kompatibel soll diese Version von Skype erst mal nur für Bold 9000 und Curve 8900 sein, nicht für das Storm 9500 oder ältere Geräte, es wird aber bestimm auch bald dafür einer Version erscheinen.
Zum Downloaden wird die Version dann unter www.skype.com/m bereit stehen.
